Job DetailsLevel: ExperiencedJob Location: The Prep Academy at Arbor Court - Lexington, KY 40517Position Type: Full TimeEducation Level: High SchoolSalary Range: $15.56 HourlyTravel Percentage: NegligibleJob Shift: DayJob Category: Nonprofit - Social ServicesThe Head Start Pathway Specialist works independently on comprehensive case management activities for families in accordance with Head Start Program Performance Standards.  The position advises and assists individuals and families with a variety of issues and/or challenges through the Family Partnership and Agreement Plan.  The Head Start Pathway Specialist creates, provides, and coordinates services and activities with families and communities that foster strength, healthy living, and overall well-being. Qualifications A. Pathway Specialist I: Bachelor’s in Family Services, Human Services, Counseling, or Social Work is required, plus one year of ECS case management experience.  B. Pathway Specialist II: Associate degree in Family Studies, Human Services, Counseling, or Social Work is required, plus one year of ECS case management experience. C. Pathway Specialist III: High school diploma or GED, is required.  Must obtain within eighteen (18) months of hire, at a minimum, a credential or certification in Social Work, human services, family services, counseling or related field.   General understanding of community history, traditions, and beliefs is preferred. Understanding of the causes and effects of poverty as they apply to early growth and family relations is preferred.  Knowledge and understanding of human services program management, including program planning, special needs programs, and utilizing community resources is required. Must have excellent oral and written communication and organizational skills.  Computer literacy, including word processing, spreadsheets, databases, and internet and e communications are highly preferred. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment to meet deadlines.
