8:00 am to 5:30 pm, Monday through Thursday and 8:00 am to 12:00 pm on Friday
Minimum Job Duties
Performs responsible, skilled, and technical work in support of the Operations Department to include but not limited to data management across all areas, regulatory filings, inventory, fleet management, maintenance scheduling, purchasing, customer relations, and other areas of administration assistance as assigned. Future tasks will include CMMS deployment, planning, and scheduling.
- Performs data management and filing support for operations, maintenance, and compliance divisions.
- Assists in the preparation of regulatory filings, to include populating spreadsheets, assisting in data collection, and mailings.
- Performs inventory, procurement, and audit functions for all operational supplies/equipment. Tasks include inventory counts, dispensing supplies, receipt/invoice coding, obtaining quotes and creating purchase orders for needed supplies to include uniforms.
- Performs routine assessment of inventory to ensure spare pumps are being rotated in and out of inventory/service as required. This shall also include forklift operation and physical rotation of pump/motor shafts while in storage.
- Oversees all fleet and major equipment activities to ensure maintenance schedules are being met, monitoring mileage, general vehicle use/wear, and assisting with the purchase of new vehicles/ equipment. Tasks will also include assisting in budgets and pricing for annual service contracts.
- Assists in scheduling all required safety training and annual testing. Tasks shall also include fire safety/equipment inspections, respirator fit testing, and environmental licensure renewals.
- Assists in developing and updating maintenance schedules for all fixed assets, to include planning/scheduling activities upon CMMS implementation.
- Assist in emergency response planning and preparedness. Tasks shall include equipment testing and fueling.
- Assists in updating Operation and Maintenance manual on a quarterly basis.
- Additional administrative duties which may be assigned.
- Performs related tasks, as required or assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
- High School Diploma
- Possession of an appropriate drivers’ license valid in the State of South Carolina
- Ability to read, write, and complete semi-complex mathematical equations; must have a thorough understanding, knowledge, and be proficient at or above the level of high school level algebra
- Ability to communicate in a clear and precise manor, both verbal and written
- Possess excellent organizational skills and multi-tasking abilities
- Self-motivated and be able to work independently or as part of a team
- Considerable experience in office administration, procurement, and inventory functions
- Must be proficient in the use of Microsoft Office software applications to include Word and Excel
- Must have knowledge and understanding of appropriate safety procedures and be able to respond in emergency situations
- Knowledge of the safe use and operation and preventive maintenance of the common hand and power tools which may be required in the work
- Knowledge of the safe use, operation, and preventive maintenance of the equipment to which assigned
- Ability to work in a warehouse environment, to include climbing ladders
Beneficial Skills & Experience
- Two-year or Four-year college degree in Business Administration or another related field
- Prior work experience in the utility field
