Description

Position Summary:

The Pediatric Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) evaluates, diagnoses, and treats children with speech, language, voice, fluency, and feeding or swallowing disorders. The SLP develops and implements individualized, evidence-based treatment plans to support communication and developmental outcomes. This position collaborates with families, educators, and interdisciplinary team members to provide high-quality, child-centered services while ensuring compliance with professional, ethical, and regulatory standards. 


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive speech, language, communication, and feeding/swallowing evaluations
  • Diagnose speech and language disorders and develop individualized, evidence-based treatment plans
  • Provide direct therapy services using developmentally appropriate and evidence-based practices
  • Monitor, document, and analyze client progress; adjust treatment plans as needed
  • Collaborate with families, caregivers, educators, and interdisciplinary team members to support carryover of skills
  • Maintain accurate, timely, and compliant documentation in accordance with professional, regulatory, and payer requirements
  • Provide parent and caregiver education and training to support communication development
  • Ensure services are delivered in compliance with ASHA standards, ethical guidelines, and applicable laws and regulations
  • Maintain licensure, certification, and required continuing education


Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Sciences and Disorders from an accredited program
  • Current state licensure or eligibility for licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) from ASHA, or in the process of completing Clinical Fellowship (CF)
  • Experience or training in pediatric assessment and intervention
  • Knowledge of evidence-based pediatric speech and language treatment approaches
  • Experience working in pediatric clinic, school-based, or early intervention settings
  • Experience with feeding and swallowing disorders (as applicable to the role)
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills with families and interdisciplinary teams
  • Familiarity with documentation and billing requirements for insurance or school-based services
