Job Summary

Job Description

The Production Planner is responsible for the operations, planning and scheduling from receipt of order through fulfillment. This position is also responsible for creating, controlling and maintaining the Master Production Schedule and Production Floor Schedule in support of the Sales Demand, Forecast, Material, Capacity, Company Objectives, and Manufacturing Strategy while minimizing inventory investment.

Essential Responsibilities
Maintains Master Production Schedule (MPS) in accordance with jointly developed monthly plans and per management direction
Maintains FPO’s and PLO’s and Work Orders, RE-Plan based upon WO’s & FPO’s
Releases Relay Work Orders and schedules
Effectively releases and maintains work orders in support of monthly plans and production schedule
Questions, verifies, and approves the feasibility of schedule additions and changes within the planning horizon by reviewing MRP requirements with purchasing, updates/manages the work orders with production and updates MPS
Develops and maintains Recovery Schedules as required to meet customer demand and internal recovery to plan
Coordinate Planning and Production plans with Purchasing, Production and Product Teams to ensure all resources are available to support the plan
Supports new product development teams with inventory phase out/in plans and effectively launches new products and End of Life products, minimizing obsolescence
Issuance and management of applicable REWORK work orders
