Position Overview:

Sorinex is hiring a Robotic Welding Operator / MIG Welder to join our manufacturing and welding fabrication team. This position involves operating robotic welding systems and performing MIG welding (GMAW) to produce high-quality metal components in a fast-paced production environment.


The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in welding, manufacturing, metal fabrication, or robotic welding operations. Candidates with backgrounds as a welder fabricator, pipe welder, or industrial welder are encouraged to apply.


Essential Responsibilities:

  • Operate, monitor, and maintain robotic welding systems during production runs
  • Load and unload metal parts into robotic welding fixtures, ensuring proper alignment and positioning
  • Perform MIG welding (GMAW) support tasks and assist with weld production as needed
  • Inspect welds and finished parts for quality, accuracy, and defects, removing weld spatter when required
  • Read and interpret blueprints, weld symbols, and engineering drawings
  • Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) and complete production documentation accurately
  • Perform daily equipment checks and preventative maintenance on robotic welding equipment
  • Identify and report quality issues, equipment malfunctions, or material shortages
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized manufacturing work area
  • Work independently while meeting production goals and deadlines
  • Collaborate with production and maintenance teams to ensure efficiency and quality standards
  • Support additional welding and fabrication tasks as needed
  • Perform all other duties as assigned

Requirements:

  • Experience with robotic welding, MIG welding (GMAW), or industrial welding preferred
  • Previous experience as a welder, welder fabricator, pipe welder, or manufacturing associate is a plus
  • Ability to read blueprints and weld symbols
  • Strong attention to detail and quality workmanship
  • Experience in a manufacturing, fabrication, or production environment
  • Mechanically inclined with basic troubleshooting skills
  • Ability to follow safety procedures and work independently

Physical Demands:

  • Lift, carry, push, and/or pull 1-50 lbs. frequently
  • Squat/kneel, bend/stoop, crawl, twist/turn, grasp, and reach overhead and outward frequently
  • Sit, stand, and walk for 1-10 hours per day
  • Work in a fast-paced industrial environment wearing hearing protection, eye protection, steel-toed shoes, and other appropriate protective clothing
