Join the Fastest-Growing Equipment Rental Company in America

ENCON Equipment is the fastest-growing equipment rental company in America for two years running.

We’ve grown more than 500% in just a few years, expanded across Kentucky, Southern Indiana, and Cincinnati, and built a company that stands out in a tough, old-school industry. We move fast, we solve problems, and we show up for our customers.

Growth like this requires strong financial systems and disciplined operations behind the scenes.

That’s where you come in.

We’re looking for a Staff Accountant to help strengthen our accounting team as we continue to scale. This role works closely with our Senior Accountant and leadership team to keep financial reporting accurate, organized, and ready to support smart business decisions.

This isn’t a back-office accounting seat buried in a large corporate department. You’ll work directly with leadership and help build the financial structure of a company that’s scaling quickly. That means exposure to operational decision-making, financial reporting that actually drives the business, and the opportunity to help shape processes as we grow.

If you enjoy understanding how a business really works, you’ll thrive here.

If you enjoy building structure inside a fast-moving company and want to grow alongside a business that’s expanding quickly, this is a great opportunity

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the Close Process – Assist with monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close activities to ensure accurate and timely reporting.
  • Prepare Journal Entries – Maintain supporting schedules and post journal entries that keep financial records clean and organized.
  • Reconcile Key Accounts – Perform balance sheet reconciliations and investigate discrepancies when they arise.
  • Monitor Cash Activity – Complete bank and credit card reconciliations and help maintain strong financial controls.
  • Maintain Accurate Financial Records – Ensure transactions are coded correctly and financial data stays organized across systems.
  • Support Operational Accounting – Assist with inventory, equipment, and fixed asset accounting processes.
  • Help Leadership Make Decisions – Assist with internal reporting, financial analysis, and operational insights.
  • Improve Processes as We Grow – Identify opportunities to streamline accounting workflows and help develop scalable accounting procedures.

Qualifications

  • Accounting or Finance Degree - Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance preferred.
  • Early-Career Accounting Experience – 2–5 years of accounting experience in a corporate or operational environment.
  • Strong Attention to Detail – You take pride in clean numbers and organized financial records.
  • Analytical Thinker – Comfortable digging into financial data and resolving discrepancies.
  • Excel Comfortable – Able to work efficiently with spreadsheets and financial reporting tools.
  • Independent and Organized – Able to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-moving environment.
  • Systems Mindset – Interested in improving processes as the company continues to scale.
  • Solid Accounting Fundamentals – Strong understanding of GAAP principles and financial reporting basics.

What’s In It for You

  • Competitive Salary Compensation
  • Comprehensive Benefits – Full health coverage and retirement benefits
  • Real Growth Opportunity – Join a company expanding rapidly and grow your career alongside it.
  • High-Energy Culture – A team that moves quickly, supports each other, and takes pride in doing great work.
  • Be Part of a Winning Team – Back-to-back fastest-growing equipment rental company in America.
