Mead & Hunt, an award-winning national architecture and engineering firm, has continued to exceed our strategic growth initiatives creating opportunities for our current and prospective team members. As a result, a full-time position is available for a Structural CAD/BIM Technician in our Sacramento (CA) or Lexington (SC) office locations.

Responsibilities include:

Produce structural BIM models and structural construction drawings for any size project, coordinating with multi-disciplinary in-house team members and sub-consultants.

The successful candidate must have the following:

Associate degree (or higher) in engineering or related field from an accredited institution and at least 2 years of relevant experience; OR if no degree, must have at least 4 years of relevant professional experience.

The ideal candidate will have experience with any/all of the following:

Drawing structural systems for building projects using Revit software.
Setting up engineering drawing sets in Revit software.
Applying design standards to engineering drawings.
Drawing, laying out, sizing, coordinating and detailing structural systems.
Attending project team meetings.

Experience or familiarity with generative AI-driven tools, platforms, or systems (e.g. Microsoft Copilot, Chat GPT, Claude, Gemini) to enhance productivity, automate tasks, and reduce errors.

Coordinating with the design team.
