Job Description Summary:

Hybrid - Florida residency required
The IT Infrastructure Engineer is responsible for designing, supporting, and optimizing enterprise level foundational systems across networking, security, compute, storage, and hybrid data center environments. This role ensures secure, compliant system architectures while providing expert technical support, resolving escalations, and maintaining operational excellence through effective queue and SLA management. The engineer collaborates across teams to deliver projects, enhance system reliability, and support complex multi team service requests.
A strong customer service orientation and clear communication are essential, as the position frequently partners with clinical, operational, and applications teams. The ideal candidate brings multidomain technical expertise, experience with large scale infrastructure, familiarity with Epic Systems, and a commitment to continued learning through foundational or advanced certifications.

Position Responsibilities

  • Enterprise Architecture- Tests disaster recovery setups, design and implement highly redundant network services, both on cloud and on-premises.
  • Support- Creates architecture diagrams, including network designs.
  • Training- Continuing education in the training track that was chosen and working towards designated next level training certification.
  • Escalations- Can think creatively to resolve escalated issues and involve others as needed.
  • Technical Expertise- In addition to foundational understanding can deep dive in one domain.
  • Customer Service- Is able to coach team on customer service etiquette and leads by example. Able to articulate and teach communication and customer service.
  • Operational duties- Can triage incidents and tasks and work to get them resolved. Can assist team members meet SLA requirements.
  • Project Delivery- Participates in designated multi-domain foundational projects to build project plans and work to complete them through collaboration and teamwork.

Qualifications

  • Education

    • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience
  • Experience and License

  • 5+ years’ experience managing IT infrastructure systems.
  • Experience with managing hybrid data center environments preferred.
  • Experience supporting large scale IT infrastructure in a healthcare environment.
  • Experience supporting systems that interface with multiple heathcare providers.
  • This includes understanding the message interface and how they support the healthcare environment.
  • Experience in Epic Systems is strongly preferred.
  • Strong multidisciplinary technical skills are required. This includes but is not limited to the following;
    • System virtualization such as VMWare or HyperV
    • Windows and Linux administration
    • Citrix Application Delivery
    • Application load balancing
    • Epic Interconnect foundation systems
