Job DetailsJob Location: LBX Company - Lexington, KY 40511Education Level: 4 Year DegreeTravel Percentage: Up to 50% Position Summary: The Technology Application Specialist is responsible for the implementation and support to the technology plans of LBX. The Technology Application Specialist will be a subject matter expert of technologies that are used within the portfolio of LBX (e.g., Construction, Forestry, and Materials Handling, etc.). The development, coordination, and implementation of comprehensive training based on applications and/or feature functionality (i.e., Machine Guidance and Machine Control Solutions, Payload and Telematics) will be duties of the Technology Application Specialist as well. The Technology Application Specialist’s goal is to train and support dealerships and LBX personnel to confidently sell and support technology on Link-Belt Excavators based on varying applications enabling them to compete while expanding their business. Specifically, the Technology Application Specialist will aid in the set up and understanding, post initial training, of technology into the business ecosystem of dealers and customers. Essential Functions: 40% - Train sales and support personnel on how to sell and support technology on Link-Belt Excavators. This is to be accomplished through in-person and virtually via Link-Belt University, focused webinars, and other means necessary. This focused support will be for both internal and external personnel. 35% - Develop and maintain comprehensive technology training (virtual and in person) curriculum for all Link-Belt Excavator technology. 15% - Collect, consolidate, and translate Voice of Customer (VOC) and Voice of Dealer (VOD) through training, and VOC and VOD events, into solid well thought out and organized recommendations. 5%- Work with key developers to aid the Product Development team in development and improvement of technology within all markets LBX sells into (i.e., earthmoving, forestry, and material handling). 5%- Work with key end user personnel (i.e., Site Engineers) to properly set up Link-belt equipment within technical job sites. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Frequent communication with customers, dealers, and interested third parties. Strong analytical and leadership skills required to effectively manage and implement established training strategies. Understands the ecosystem of the job site (construction, scrap, and forestry). Skilled at problem solving, negotiating, and conflict resolution, while maintaining the long-term focus of the company. QualificationsMinimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or 4-8 years of relevant industry experience in a related field. Minimum of 1-2 years’ experience working with training programs and/or a distribution organization in construction equipment industry or related field. Excellent oral, written and presentation skills. Must be able to interact and work well with others. Excellent technical skills in Microsoft applications and other computer software such as Adobe and Google. Supervisory Responsibilities: None, but leadership is required. Success Factors: Strong excavator product and applications knowledge and understanding of how various components interact to make Link-Belt products the best. Must establish a leadership role within the organization and with dealers. Must maintain uncompromising ethics and integrity. Must be able to interact and work well with others. Self-motivated; Passion and drive for success. Strong overall business aptitude. Travel Expectations: This position requires up to 50% extensive overnight travel, using different modes of transportation (auto, plane, etc.) Working Conditions: This position primarily operates in an indoor office environment with occasional periods outside or in a maintenance bay. The work requires spending time in a seated position while working at a computer station. Work also requires standing, walking, bending, reaching, hearing, talking, and lifting (up to 50 pounds).
