Job Description:

PET/Nuclear Medicine Tech

PRN

The Nuclear Medicine Department provides specialized diagnostic and therapeutic imaging services using radiopharmaceuticals to support accurate diagnosis and treatment planning. The department collaborates with radiologists and clinical teams to deliver safe, high-quality imaging while ensuring patient safety, regulatory compliance, and effective clinical outcomes.

Job Description:

  • The Nuclear Medicine Technologist provides health care services using radioisotopes to assist in diagnosis of cardiac specific pathologies.

  • Performs Nuclear Medicine related procedures specific to MPI, computer processing, and related techniques to produce images for the interpretation by a cardiologist.

  • Exercises professional judgment in performance of service and maintains a demeanor complimentary to medical ethics.

  • Recognizes various patient conditions in order to provide appropriate patient care to ensure successful completion of the exam or procedure.

Requirements:

  • Satisfactory completion of an education program in Nuclear Medicine.

  • Current license with the American Registry Radiologic Technology (ARRT) or certificate with the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB).

  • Current license with the Kentucky Board of Medical Imaging and Radiation Therapy.

  • Current Advanced ARRT and/or CNMT Registry required. PET certification recommended upon completion of 700 hours of clinical experience.

  • BLS Certified
