Job Description
Title: Machine Operator- Tear 1
FLSA: Non-Exempt
General Summary:
- As a Machine operator you will be responsible for a variety of machine-specific functions. The listed below are included but are not limited to.
Principal Duties & Responsibilities:
- Cleaning, stacking, and moving pallets
- Identify, confirm, and prioritize work to be performed
- Learn to set up machinery and perform tool changes as needed
- Learn how to perform changeovers
- Load programs/inputs into the machine control
- Learn how to perform daily PMs on machinery and equipment used
- Use proper tools on the machine
- Bunch, label, and stage parts for the next manufacturing process
- Practice exceptional housekeeping
Other related duties may be assigned as needed. The responsibilities listed above are not intended to be an exhaustive list.
Job Qualifications:
- Experience: Machine operator experience is required
- Forklift experience preferred (will certify in-house)
- Blueprint reading skills
- The ability to understand and convert decimals and fractions
- Detailed oriented
- Computer skill
- Good communication skills
- General labor skills
Physical Requirements for the job
- Ability to move at least 50lbs
- Ability to stand and use hand tools 8-10hrs per day
- Wear the necessary PPE for the position
