What You'll Do

  • Carry out gas metal arc welding (GMAW) to manufacture and repair equipment items and components
  • Cut materials into the required shapes, checking dimensions and thicknesses
  • Welding or joining metal and other materials into a wide range of structures
  • Operating different types of tools, machinery and welding equipment
  • Evaluating finished projects and performing quality checks
  • Performing all welding tasks using various welding equipment and technologies
  • Designing new parts and producing them according to specifications and company needs
  • Any other tasks as assigned by supervisor

What You'll Need

  • Capable of performing a wide range of physical activities which include pulling, reaching, bending, climbing and kneeling
  • Ability to work in all weather conditions
  • Ability to work overtime as necessary outside of normally scheduled shift with little or no advance notification
  • Experience with stick, MIG, and wire feed welding
  • Experience with welding, cutting, fabrication and equipment maintenance preferred
  • Valid driver's license with current motor vehicle insurance and a clean driving record

Your Education

  • High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience is required
