Production Saw & Machine specializes in innovative manufacturing solutions through personal attention to customer cutting and machining needs. We produce high and low-volume precision CNC-machined parts for automotive suppliers, military, industrial equipment, agricultural, and heavy truck industries. Role Summary:

We are looking for a CNC Setup Lead / Programmer who thrives in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment and aligns with our Core Values. This role is accountable for programming, setting up, and operating CNC machining centers to produce high-quality parts that meet customer specifications and internal standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Interpret work orders, blueprints, engineering plans, and GD&T specifications.
  • Program CNC mills and lathes, including setting tool registers, offsets, and conditional switches.
  • Set up CNC machines with appropriate chucks, tools, fixtures, and attachments.
  • Verify machine settings and first-run parts to ensure accuracy.
  • Monitor machining operations such as drilling, grooving, turning, and thread chasing.
  • Troubleshoot and adjust programs and machine settings as needed.
  • Use precision measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, height gauges, bore gauges, CMM).
  • Fabricate and utilize fixtures and holding devices.
  • Maintain equipment and complete preventive maintenance tasks.
  • Document setups and tooling information.
  • Train operators on machine usage, safety, and quality control.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 1–3 months of related experience or training preferred.
  • Strong understanding of CNC programming, setup, and operation.
  • Proficiency in reading technical documents and performing basic math, geometry, and trigonometry.
  • Familiarity with manual mills and lathes.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement.

Physical Requirements:

  • Standing and walking up to 100% of the time.
  • Lifting up to 50 lbs. and pushing/pulling up to 400 lbs. with mechanical assistance.
  • Exposure to noise, heat, fumes, grease/oil, and coolant in a manufacturing environment.
