The Assembler will be responsible for assemble, laps seats, sets and test product per manufacturer standards, completes test reports, seals and tags valves. THIS IS A FIRST SHIFT - 6am-2pm, M-F, overtime as needed.

- Confirm that correct material is pulled for order.

- Assemble product, lap seating surfaces, assemble valve with spring. (mold diaphragms and cut gaskets).

- Test product per manufacturer standards.

- Complete test reports, seal and tag product and take to shipping area when paperwork is completed.

- Assist shipping department as needed.

-  Attend and participate in quality team meetings, safety meetings and other training.                                                           

-  Perform other duties as assigned based on work load and business need.

EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE:

- High school diploma or GED.

- Minimum of two (2) years experience as a valve assembler in similar industry.

TECHNICAL / FUNCTION SPECIFIC:

- Basic math skills.

- Mechanical aptitude.

- Problem solving and formulations.

- Basic computer skills.

- Safety Relief Valve Knowledge.

- Reading and proofreading.

- Reasoning and analyzing.

- Knowledgeable in operating testing equipment, lapping equipment and forklift.

- Experience working in Lean manufacturing environments.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

-  Ability to wear required personal protective equipment, including safety glasses and safety shoes.

-  Regularly required to sit or stand, bend and reach.

-  Ability to lift up to 50 pounds as needed.
