About the Opportunity

We are seeking a highly motivated Battery Manufacturing Project Engineer to support capital equipment installation, commissioning, and production launch activities within an advanced manufacturing environment.

This role will support battery production line readiness from procurement through startup, working closely with engineering, construction management, technicians, vendors, and contractors to ensure successful project execution.

The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and has experience supporting equipment installation, production preparation, project scheduling, and manufacturing launch activities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with engineering teams, construction management, vendors, contractors, and technicians to achieve project milestones
  • Support equipment procurement, installation planning, commissioning, and launch of battery production lines
  • Participate in clean room manufacturing protocols and advanced cleanliness standards
  • Support production trials to confirm equipment safety, quality, uptime, and operational efficiency
  • Identify punch list items, perform root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions
  • Support KPI tracking, mass-production handover, and production issue resolution
  • Coordinate with domestic and international cross-functional teams on project schedules and milestones
  • Create and maintain detailed project schedules for assigned manufacturing areas
  • Track and maintain project budgets for assigned capital investments
  • Complete internal and external technical training as required

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related technical field
  • Experience supporting capital project execution within manufacturing environments
  • Experience managing projects involving capital investments greater than $500K
  • Strong project scheduling experience related to equipment installation and manufacturing milestones
  • Ability to read and interpret 2D facility and process equipment drawings
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Experience with AutoCAD or other 2D/3D drafting software
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally up to 10%
  • Ability to work weekends, holidays, and planned shutdown periods as project schedules require

Preferred Qualifications

  • Battery manufacturing or automotive manufacturing experience
  • Equipment installation, startup, or commissioning experience
  • Understanding of production launch activities and manufacturing readiness
  • Strong cross-functional communication and project coordination skills
  • Experience working in clean room or controlled manufacturing environments
  • Familiarity with manufacturing KPIs and production performance tracking
