Schedule: Monday–Friday | 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Travel: Up to 10% (Domestic & Occasional International)
Overtime: Approximately 25% (Project needs, shutdowns, weekends, evening meetings with Japan)

Generation Battery Manufacturing Team

Project Engineer to support the launch of next-generation battery manufacturing operations. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in one of Toyota's largest manufacturing investments, working alongside engineering, construction, purchasing, facilities, and production teams to successfully deliver critical project milestones.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate project activities supporting new model and battery manufacturing launches.
  • Develop, maintain, and manage detailed project schedules and milestone tracking.
  • Define, monitor, and report project KPIs to leadership.
  • Lead cross-functional project meetings (Obeyas) and drive issue resolution.
  • Support construction activities by coordinating installation milestones and building readiness.
  • Coordinate pre-production trial activities including parts ordering, schedules, and KPI management.
  • Work closely with Engineering, Purchasing, Construction, Facilities, Manufacturing, and Production teams.
  • Identify project risks and develop countermeasures to maintain launch timing.
  • Support budget tracking, asset management, shutdown planning, and additional special projects.
  • Create standardized reporting processes and documentation for future projects.
  • Present project updates and recommendations to senior leadership.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree OR 5+ years of equivalent project management experience.
  • Minimum 5 years managing manufacturing or industrial projects.
  • Experience managing capital projects valued at $500,000 or greater.
  • Strong experience creating and managing:
    • Project schedules
    • KPIs
    • Milestone tracking
    • Executive-level reports
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills.
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to travel up to 10%.
  • Willingness to work occasional weekends, holidays, shutdowns, and evening meetings as project schedules require.

  • Automotive manufacturing experience
  • Battery manufacturing experience
  • Gated Project Management / BRAD milestone experience
  • 3 Pillar Management
  • New Model Launch experience
