About the Opportunity

Engineering team is seeking a highly motivated Simulation Engineer to support the development of advanced manufacturing and supply chain simulation capabilities.

This role will focus on building and validating discrete event simulation (DES) models using Siemens Plant Simulation software to support data-driven operational decisions across production lines, plant operations, and regional supply chains.

The ideal candidate will have strong experience in manufacturing simulation, data analysis, and production systems, with the ability to translate complex simulation results into actionable business insights.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain discrete event simulation (DES) models for manufacturing and supply chain operations
  • Build simulation models at multiple operational levels including line, shop, plant, and regional supply chain
  • Utilize Siemens Plant Simulation software to model and optimize manufacturing processes
  • Create and maintain standardized simulation templates, validation methods, and deliverable formats
  • Establish simulation validation standards to ensure model accuracy and reliability
  • Support development and organization of centralized simulation model libraries
  • Analyze simulation output data to identify operational improvements and business insights
  • Collaborate with internal engineering and data analytics teams on data integration and digital twin initiatives
  • Coordinate with external simulation vendors and support project execution
  • Provide technical guidance and training on simulation tools and best practices
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives within manufacturing operations

Qualifications | What You Bring (Must Have)

  • Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Operations Research, Systems Engineering, or related technical field
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in discrete event simulation within a manufacturing environment
  • Hands-on experience using Siemens Plant Simulation software
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing operations, production systems, and supply chain processes
  • Experience with programming or scripting tools such as Python or SQL
  • Strong analytical, mathematical, and problem-solving skills
  • Experience developing simulation standards, templates, and validation processes
  • Ability to manage multiple stakeholders, vendors, and project priorities
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to present technical information clearly

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s degree or PhD in Industrial Engineering, Systems Engineering, Operations Research, Data Science, or related field
  • Experience with digital twin technologies within manufacturing environments
  • Familiarity with Siemens Process Simulate, Delmia, or related modeling platforms
  • Lean Manufacturing and/or Six Sigma experience
  • Automotive or battery manufacturing experience
  • Project management or cross-functional leadership experience
