Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Monitors and adjusts furnaces and related equipment to ensure products are treated to meet customer and internal specifications. Operates heating, cooling, and transport equipment in a safe and efficient manner within manufacturer guidelines. Performs various inspection tasks of equipment and products to promote sustained quality and stability of the entire heat treating line. Accurately and timely records/reports data to department leaders. Utilizes computer systems and various software to proficiently track the entire process and adjust parameters. Maintain an orderly, safe working environment. Performs other related duties as required. Other duties as assigned Qualifications Minimum Education and/or Experience Requirements: Education: High School or equivalent Years of Experience: 2+ years heat treating steel products preferable tubular goods Number of Direct Reports: 3-5 Job Titles of Direct Reports: Straightener operator, Stenciled operator, Furnace operator Skills and Abilities: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Reasoning Ability: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations. Other Skills and Abilities: Must be computer literate and able to work with programs such as Word, Excel, etc., and be able to learn and use HP programs such as e-mail, ERP system, etc. Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel; Good communication skills The incumbent is expected to understand that all employees have a shared responsibility for the quality of products and related services provided to our customers.
