Job Description:

Fabricator II

Shift- 7:00 AM-3:30 PM

Pay- $24-$30

The Fabricator II is responsible for fabricating plastic components and assemblies according to work orders, flow sheets, part drawings, and established quality standards. This role requires the ability to interpret drawings, perform manual measurements and in-process inspections, operate a variety of fabrication equipment, and complete work accurately and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

  • Use ERP software to record production time and complete required data collection.
  • Read and interpret work orders, flow sheets, and part drawings to determine job requirements and manufacturing processes.
  • Fabricate parts and assemblies according to specifications, drawings, and established procedures.
  • Perform dimensional inspections using manual inspection equipment.
  • Complete first article and final inspections and submit parts to Quality Assurance for verification of dimensions that cannot be confirmed manually.
  • Perform and document in-process inspections throughout the production run.
  • Operate manual fabrication and shop equipment safely and effectively.
  • Maintain clean, organized work areas and keep tools and equipment in good condition.
  • Communicate with the Manufacturing Manager and Supervisor regarding production requirements, quality concerns, and job status.
  • Follow all safety, quality, and production procedures.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Supervisor.

Qualifications

  • Basic knowledge of ERP systems and data entry.
  • Ability to read and interpret basic part drawings, work orders, and manufacturing instructions.
  • Basic understanding of shop math, including angles, tolerances, and bend allowances.
  • Ability to use manual inspection equipment to verify dimensions.
  • Experience or training in one or more of the following is preferred:
    • Buff polishing
    • Solvent bonding
    • Hot bending
    • Hand routing
    • Brushing
    • Plastic tack welding
    • Heatsinking inserts / sonic welding
    • Drill presses
    • Bridgeport mills
  • Ability to work independently while communicating effectively with supervisors and team members.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

Pay Transparency

The salary range for this position is $24.00-$30.00. Factors such as scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, job-related skills, internal peer equity, as well as market and business considerations may influence base pay offered. This salary will be subject to a geographic adjustment (according to a specific city and state), if an authorization is granted to work outside of the location listed in this posting.
