As a Park Operations Team Member, you'll be cross-trained and play a key role in various departments including Admissions, Food & Beverage, Retail, Rides, Aquatics, and Housekeeping. Your mission: jump in where needed to ensure Idlewild and SoakZone runs smoothly during peak attendance and staffing needs.

We are currently looking for a:

Idlewild and SoakZone: Park Operations Team Member

Roles & Responsibilities:

Roles & Responsibilities:

路 Greet and assist guests in a friendly, professional manner across multiple areas of the park

路 Sell and redeem tickets, assist with park entry, and resolve guest inquiries

路 Prepare and serve food and beverages following safety guidelines

路 Operate retail POS systems, assist with merchandise stocking and display

路 Safely operate rides and attractions according to park protocols

路 Maintain cleanliness of park areas including restrooms, dining areas, and walkways

路 Monitor pools and water attractions as a certified lifeguard respond to emergencies as needed (if applicable)

路 Follow all safety, sanitation, and operating procedures in every assigned area

路 Perform opening and closing duties and assist other departments as required

路 All other duties assigned by leadership

Education and Experience:

路 No education requirements for this position

路 Ride Operators must complete iROC certification Lifeguards must pass Ellis & Associates training

Language: Ability to read, write, and speak fluent English Spanish or other bilingual language skills are a plus.

Requirements:

路 Must be at least 16 years of age to comply with Pennsylvania Child Labor Laws for Rides and Lifeguards

路 Ability to work flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays

路 Demonstrated ability to successfully perform all swim tests, water rescues, assists

路 Ability to comply with all uniform policies

路 Must possess safety-oriented mindset and understand the importance of complying with all Federal, State, and local regulations regarding aquatics safety standards

路 Must demonstrate a willingness to learn and ability to follow instructions

路 Must be guest-focused and work well with other hosts and supervisors

路 Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

Physical Requirements:

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by a team member to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. In certain cases, reasonable accommodation may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential functions of the job.

路 Ability to swim 200 yards using front crawl/freestyle or breaststroke (Lifeguard)

路 Ability to retrieve a 10-pound brick from at least 6 or more feet of water (Lifeguard)

路 Ability to tread water for 2 minutes without the use of arms (Lifeguard)

路 Ability to stand or walk for extended periods of time

路 Ability to swim, wade, and stand (sometimes in moderate currents)

路 Ability to frequently kneel, stoop, bend, squat, twist or reach above shoulder-level

路 Ability to use hands to grasp, finger, handle, or feel

路 Ability to carry, push, pull, lift, and hold objects weighing up to 50 pounds.

路 Ability to aid and physically move guests of varying heights and weights

Vision Requirements (Lifeguard):

路 Must possess 20/25 correct vision (corrective lens, if required, must be worn while on duty)

路 Specific vision abilities are required for this job, including close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

路 Ability to see differences between colors and brightness

路 Ability to see details of objects that are more than a few feet away

Working Conditions:

路 Constant exposure to outdoor (or indoor) aquatics environments

路 Constant exposure to variable outside (or indoor) temperatures, including high heat, direct sun, cold, humidity, dust, rain, and other weather conditions

路 Regularly subjected to water and pool chemicals

路 Subject to frequent interruptions and requests that may require reprioritization of activities
