Position Overview

Birch Agency is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to support students in a school-based setting in Lillington, North Carolina (27546).

This opportunity offers the chance to make a meaningful impact by providing high-quality speech and language services to students with diverse communication needs. The Speech-Language Pathologist will collaborate with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams to support students' academic achievement, communication development, and overall success.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive speech-language evaluations and assessments.

  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans aligned with student needs and IEP goals.

  • Provide direct speech and language therapy services to students.

  • Support students with articulation, language, fluency, voice, social communication, and other communication needs.

  • Monitor student progress and maintain accurate documentation and service records.

  • Participate in eligibility meetings, IEP meetings, and multidisciplinary team discussions.

  • Collaborate with teachers, administrators, special education staff, and families to support student success.

  • Select and administer appropriate assessment tools and evidence-based treatment activities.

  • Provide recommendations for accommodations, communication supports, and intervention strategies.

  • Maintain compliance with school, state, and federal special education requirements.

Qualifications

  • Master's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.

  • Active North Carolina Speech-Language Pathologist license required (or ability to obtain).

  • ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred.

  • School-based or pediatric experience preferred.

  • Strong knowledge of speech-language assessment, intervention strategies, and treatment planning.

  • Excellent communication, organizational, and collaboration skills.

  • Ability to work independently while effectively participating in a multidisciplinary team environment.

  • Strong documentation and report-writing skills.
