Who are you? 

Family Resource Center is seeking Outpatient Counselors and Therapists to join our team! You are a caring and dedicated professional with a Master's Degree in Social Work or Clinical Counseling with LSW / LPC / LISW / LPCC / LISW-S or LPCC-S licensure. You will regularly use various computer apps including Microsoft Office, our HRIS, EHR and other online systems, with multiple logins often simultaneously. Have a valid Ohio driver's license, CPR/First Aid Certification, and be willing to submit background check and fingerprinting.  The role may be eligible for a location differential and/or sign-on bonus.


How you’ll make a difference in this role:

Under the guidance of the Clinical Supervisor, you will provide a range of assessment and mental health/substance use counseling and therapy to children, adolescents, adults, and families. You will provide direct clinical treatment using methods prescribed by the program, while also engaging the primary caregiver and other key participants in change-oriented treatment by identifying and overcoming barriers to engagement.

  • Develop an Individual Treatment Plan as negotiated with the client and provide subsequent review of the case. You will record client's progress, complete client outcome instrument, and maintain necessary records and files.
  • Support crisis intervention and emergency services as needed.
  • Maintain a strengths-based approach while working with clients and families to assist in the retention of dignity and the development of positive intrinsic qualities in the client; maintain fidelity to assigned program; ensure medical necessity of services.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with other agencies and programs in order to cultivate working relationships, ensure adequate client care, provide consultative service and/or promote the coordination and development of mental health services. 
  • Complete referrals to other agency programs or external service providers as deemed clinically appropriate.
