Sage Group HealthCare Staffing is seeking Travel RN Med Surg Telemetry for travel / contract position in Lima, OH. Accepting both local and traveler candidates.

Contract Length:13 weeks-Accepting Local and Travel Candidates

Pay Rate: Range $2088 to $2120 Weekly Gross Pay based on 36-hour work week (Includes Non-taxable travel/housing and M&I stipend available for qualified/eligible travelers)

Unit: Med Surg, Telemetry

Shifts available: Nights 

Schedule: 36 hours/week guaranteed, 3 shifts per week, every other weekend

Position Requirements:

• Registered Nurse: 2 year+ - Required
  
• Med Surg and Telemetry Nursing experience: Recent/Current 2 year+ – Required
  
• Must be competent with Cardiac medications (Cardizem, Amiodarone, Nitro, Heparin, Cardine, Dobutamine, Lasix, Bumex,) and have knowledge of titration and application of these medications. - Required
  
• Must be competent in telemetry and possess knowledge of heart rhythms. - Required
  
• Must possess critical thinking skills, be able to recognize change in patient status and intervene - Required
  
• Must possess knowledge of signs/symptoms of stroke, recognize change in patient status and intervene. - Required
  
• Must have strong communication skills.
  
• Attendance: must be committed to reporting for all assigned shifts and be on time.
  
• Willing to float to similar units within the scope of practice and skillset – Required
  
• Prior travel or contract assignment experience – Preferred
  

Education, License and Certification Requirements:

• ASN or an equivalent – Required
  
• BSN or an equivalent – Highly preferred
  
• RN License for State of OH or compact - Required
  
• BLS Certification from AHA  - Required
  
• ACLS Certification from AHA - Required 
  
• NIHSS Certification - Required 
  

Job Description:

• Provide all aspects of Nursing care for patients in Med Surg, Telemetry and float to similar units within the scope of practice and skillset
  
• The RN assumes responsibility and accountability for the care of assigned patients on his/her shift
  
• Responsibilities include assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating patient care using age specific criteria.
  
• Assists in planning, directing and teaching non-RN staff such as LPN/PCT and Unit Secretaries
