Yard Spotter (CDL Class A)

Job Summary

We are hiring an experienced Yard Spotter (CDL Class A) for an immediate opening in Lima, OH. This position is responsible for safely moving trailers throughout the yard, positioning trailers at dock doors, and supporting warehouse operations to keep production running efficiently.

Pay: Starting at $28.00/hour

Schedule:

• 6:00 PM – 6:00 AM
• Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, and every other Saturday
• Full-Time

Responsibilities

• Safely move trailers to and from dock doors and designated yard locations
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections
• Monitor and organize loaded and empty trailers throughout the yard
• Communicate with warehouse personnel to ensure efficient trailer movement
• Report equipment or trailer issues promptly
• Follow all DOT regulations and company safety procedures
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment

Qualifications

• Valid Class A CDL required
• Current DOT Medical Card required
• Minimum 2 years of commercial driving experience preferred
• Previous yard spotting, yard jockey, shuttle driving, or trailer spotting experience preferred
• Strong safety record and attention to detail
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks as needed
