Flex Part-Time Sanitation

Pay: $23.00 per hour plus Shift Differential: $1.00 per hour (if applicable)

Shift & Working Hours: This role is part of our Flex Manufacturing Program. This is a part-time role with flexible hours, where you can choose your schedule. Typical hours worked per week will usually be between 16-29 hours, but this may vary based on location.


In this role, you'll be part of the Land O’Lakes, Inc. manufacturing team, performing sanitation tasks. Compliance with HACCP protocols, managing allergen risks, and preventing contamination are essential. You'll follow processes to maintain buildings and machinery, using advanced skills from training and experience. Join our team to become part of a member-owned co-op that is Rooted In Tomorrow.

Purina Animal Nutrition

This role is part of our Purina Animal Nutrition business who serves producers and animal owners throughout the United States. We innovate nutritional products and practices that unlock the full potential of every animal for a healthier, more productive life. 



Key Responsibilities:

  • Complies with all safety processes and insists on safety practices of self and others
  • Follows all good manufacturing practices, quality, production, training, and housekeeping standards as well of standard operating procedures on tasks
  • Able to multi-task and keep up with demands in a fast-paced environment
  • Assist Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) department as required

Required Experience and Skills:
• Must be 18 years or older
• 6 months of work experience in any industry
• Basic computer and math skills
• Able to read, write, comprehend, follow verbal and written instructions
• Willingness to learn new skills, problem-solve and troubleshoot
• Strong collaboration, communication skills, and is always respectful

 •Able to learn and operate forklifts and Genie Lifts


Preferred Experience:
• 1+ year of manufacturing or cleaning work experience

•  Cleaning work areas and machinery with industrial equipment and hazardous chemicals like floor scrubbers, scissor lifts, and pressure washers

Physical Requirements:
• Able to lift/carry up to 50 pounds
• Frequent movement including walking, standing, bending/stooping, turning, twisting, pushing, pulling, raising arms, lifting, climbing and other active movements
• Performing duties while wearing personal protective equipment
• Working in temperature zones that include cold and/or hot environments for extended periods and may include areas where dust and chemicals are present
