SHIFT:  2nd Shift 

POSITION:   Facilities Supervisor 

 

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:  

  • Manage TMA system and direct technicians for repairs 

  • Must be able to anticipate potential problems and apply solutions and preventative measures. 

  • Must have excellent leadership qualities 

  • Excellent attendance 

  • Must be able to operate equipment Forklift, Tugger, Utility cart, Scissor and Boom lift. 

  • Must be flexible to work on weekends, pre-shift and on 1st shift if needed. 

  • Support NSE facilities at night. Overtime will be required. 

  • Support Lincoln and Talladega facilities. 

  • Excellent communication skills. 

  • Communicate and enforce policies and procedures. 

  • Support and direct daily repairs and projects. 

  •  

Safety/Environment: 

  • Follow and enforce safety rules and requirements of NSE and OSHA. 

  • Ensure work area is clean (5s at end of shift) 

  • Direct technicians with a “Safety First” mindset. 

  • Support short notice production changes 

  • Support Physical Inventory (1/year)  

  •  

Quality 

  • Ensure requested work and minor forklift repairs are executed. 

  • Compile a shift report at the end of each shift including all repairs made and communicate any concerns that could become issues immediately. 

  •  

Cost 

  • Execute planned maintenance to minimize downtime repairs. 

  • Ensure repairs are made using correct methods/parts. 

  •  

Morale 

  • Direct and instruct team members and associates daily in a positive and professional way. 

  • Treat all associates consistently and respectfully. 

  • Raise concerns/issues immediately to management. 

  •  

Training 

  • Train on SOPs as presented by management. 

  • Skill advancement courses are available. 

  • Train technicians and enforce SOPs. 

 

QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION 

  • Post-high school (Certification in electrical, HVAC, plumbing, etc.) or equivalent experience. 

  • Able to interact professionally within the company with our customer and associates. 

  • Able to lead a project and present information to management. 

  • Excellent communication and organizational skills. 

  • Must be able and willing to work any shift, hours, holidays, weekends, or overtime as needed. 

  • Must be able to pass Substance testing and badging process through HMA. 

  • Computer skills – Microsoft Office 

       Successful completion of the Microsoft assessment test will be required.

    • The potential candidate must follow the chain of progression to apply:
      Production Associate → Section Lead / Trainer → Supervisor→ Assistant Manager → Manager 
    • The potential candidate must be a full-time associate with a minimum of 3 months of service (Associate cannot be in their New Hire Probationary Period).
    • The potential candidate must not have received any formal written occurrences, other than attendance during the past 12 months.
      • The potential candidate must not have less than 3.5 points during the time of posting and/or cannot reach 1.5 points while in the position. The associate must be eligible the day the posting comes down which is Friday July 31st, 2026, at 11:59PM
      • Note: If an associate bid on a Job Posting within their home division, but the open position is on a preferable shift, the associate will not be restricted based on Attendance Points.
    • The potential candidate cannot have received a transfer from an internal posting from Division to Division within the past 12 months.
    • If there are no requests for transfer submitted from eligible Associates, NSE will fill the opening as needed;  However, NSE reserves the right to seek outside candidates.
