HX5 is currently seeking an Acquisitions Strategy and Documentation Principal to support the HNI Division at Hanscom Air Force Base in Bedford, MA.     

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Demonstrates comprehensive knowledge of principles, policies, and practices governing systems acquisition and program management, ensuring compliance with DoDI 5000.02 and statutory/regulatory requirements.
  • Leverages deep understanding of DoD and U.S. Air Force roles, relationships, and structures to develop and execute plans that enhance mission capabilities and align with organizational objectives.
  • Applies advanced qualitative and quantitative methods to evaluate and optimize the effectiveness, efficiency, and productivity of acquisition programs, providing actionable insights and recommendations.
  • Monitors cost and schedule baselines, assesses program performance, identifies risks, and recommends solutions or alternative courses of action to ensure program success.
  • Produces high-quality acquisition documentation (e.g., briefings, plans, reports) and effectively communicates complex concepts to diverse stakeholders, both orally and in writing.
  • Drafts comprehensive acquisition strategies for ACAT I programs, prepares statutory and regulatory reports (e.g., DAES, MAR), and supports program management reviews and IMP/IMS assessments.
  • Builds strong relationships with multi-MAJCOM stakeholders and cross-functional teams to counsel on acquisition strategies, identify program requirements, and execute tasks with precision and diplomacy.
  • Develops and delivers polished briefings and program updates to senior management, offering insights into progress, acquisition tasks, and strategic recommendations.

     

Salary:This position is expected to pay $116,000-$163,000 annually; depending on experience, education, and any certifications that are directly related to the position.

Education and Experience:

Must have one of the following combinations of education and experience:

  • Masters degree in related field and 15 years of experience in the respective technical/professional discipline being performed, 10 years of which must be in the DoD
  • OR Bachelors degree and 20 years of experience in the respective technical/professional discipline being performed, 10 of which must be in the DoD

 Other Position Requirements:

  • Proof of U.S. Citizenship or US Permanent Residency is a requirement for this position.
  • Must be able to complete a U.S. government background investigation.
  • Must be able to obtain a Secret clearance by date of hire. 
  • Must be able to travel, including air travel.
