Job DetailsJob Location: Lincoln, CA 95648Position Type: Full TimeEducation Level: High SchoolJob Shift: AnyJob Category: Food & BeveragePosition Summary: The Café Room Runner will assist in providing a superior dining experience to Guests of Thunder Valley Casino Resort by ensuring timely and friendly service. The Room Runner is responsible for expediting the food line, garnishing dishes, and delivering orders to Guests using established seating arrangement procedures. Responsibilities must be performed in accordance with all Company standards, policies, and procedures. Essential Functions: 1. Practice, support, and promote Thunder Valley Casino Resort’s “ELITE” company-wide service mission and demonstrate AAA Four Diamond service standards at all times. 2. Maintain the food line area with condiments, soups, soup spoons, rice, sauces, and other garnishes. 3. Responsible for restocking all items during and at the end of the shift. 4. Maintain proper sanitation buckets in station. 5. Inspect cleanliness and presentation of completed dishes. 6. Perform the finishing touches to completed dishes, such as adding garnishes and removing smudges. 7. Deliver food orders from the food line to Guests’ tables rapidly and accurately, following proper serving sequence and service rules. 8. Support Food Servers with Guest requests by retrieving tableware, utensils, and drink refills as needed. Remove dirty dishes and utensils as needed. 9. Communicate with kitchen staff on production issues. 10. Communicating with management on operational issues. 11. Follow established side work and other duties assigned by management. 12. Ensure that all health and safety procedures are followed and adhered to at all times. QualificationsMinimum Qualifications: 1. High school diploma or equivalent education preferred. 2. Prior restaurant experience is preferred. 3. Must be able to communicate effectively with Guests, Team Members, and management in both written and verbal form. 4. At least 18 years of age. 5. Ability to obtain UAIC Tribal Gaming License. Physical Requirements: 1. Requires normal, corrective vision range, the ability to see color and the ability to distinguish letters, numbers, and symbols. 2. Requires ability to bend and reach for supplies and equipment, and push carts. 3. Ability to lift and move up to 50 lbs. 4. Ability to stand and walk for the duration of shift. 5. Manual dexterity to operate job related equipment. Work Conditions: Work is typically conducted in a restaurant environment which may be hot, cold, and noisy. Work may also be conducted in or near the casino in the presence of secondhand smoke. Team Members will be required to stand, walk, lift, reach, push, pull and grasp. These tasks include the maintenance and care of an assigned area. Frequent contact with fellow Team Members and with Guests is standard.
