Timpte is looking for a Manufacturing Engineer/CNC Machinist for our BRAND NEW Lincoln Manufacturing Center in  Lincoln, NE! 
This role will be responsible for developing, implementing, and continuously improving CNC machining processes while providing hands-on support for the programming, setup, operation, and troubleshooting of advanced machining equipment. This position serves as the technical owner of multiple multi-axis CNC machines and is responsible for developing programs, tooling, fixtures, and manufacturing methods that improve safety, quality, efficiency, capacity, and manufacturability. The role works cross-functionally with Engineering, Production, Quality, and Maintenance to support new product introductions, resolve production issues, and drive continuous improvement throughout the machining operation.



Primary Job Responsibilities

  • Create, modify, and optimize CNC programs using CAM software to improve cycle time, tool life, quality, and process reliability.
  • Program, set up, operate, and troubleshoot CNC mills, and related toolroom equipment.
  • Develop and improve manufacturing processes, machining strategies, tooling, fixtures, and workholding for new and existing products.
  • Evaluate current machine capacity through time studies and use the resulting data to recommend and specify future equipment purchases.
  • Read and interpret engineering drawings, CAD models, and specifications; provide design for manufacturability (DFM) input for new products.


Desired Skills, Knowledge, and Qualifications

  • Associate degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field; equivalent experience may be considered.
  • Minimum of three years of hands-on CNC machining experience, 
  • Proficiency in CNC programming and CAM software such as SolidCAM, or similar.
  • Proficiency in SolidWorks CAD software is preferred.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, CAD models, and manufacturing specifications.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of manufacturing engineering principles, process development, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement.
  • Experience working with aluminum extrusions and precision components is strongly preferred.
  • Strong problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
