What You'll Do

As a Staff Physical Therapist, you will:

  • Evaluate residents and develop individualized treatment plans based on physician orders
  • Improve residents' strength, mobility, balance, endurance, and functional independence
  • Supervise Physical Therapy Assistants (PTAs), rehab aides, and students
  • Train and support Restorative Nursing Assistants
  • Collaborate with physicians, nursing staff, residents, families, and the interdisciplinary team
  • Participate in care conferences, utilization review, and rehabilitation meetings
  • Maintain accurate, timely, and compliant clinical documentation
  • Educate residents and families on home exercise programs, fall prevention, and safety techniques
  • Recommend appropriate mobility equipment and adaptive devices
  • Provide facility-wide education and in-service training
  • Support quality improvement initiatives and rehabilitation program development
  • Maintain a safe treatment environment while following infection control and safety standards

What We're Looking For

  • Current California Physical Therapist license in good standing
  • Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctorate in Physical Therapy
  • CPR Certification (if required by licensure)
  • Skilled Nursing Facility experience preferred, but not required
  • Experience with electronic medical records such as Net Health and PointClickCare is a plus
  • Strong communication, documentation, and teamwork skills
  • A compassionate clinician committed to outstanding resident outcomes

Physical Requirements

This position requires standing, walking, lifting, pushing, pulling, transferring residents, and safely operating therapy equipment throughout the workday. Candidates should be able to meet the physical demands of providing hands-on rehabilitation services with or without reasonable accommodation.
