Ameritas is seeking a Sales Connect Representative to drive the business by effectively presenting/selling our product portfolios and marketing campaigns to prospective agents, brokers, and consumers. This position educates agents and brokers by serving as a "value-add" to General Agents on our Shelf products and provides a baseline level of knowledge & understanding of all Private Label products.

 

This role could be hybrid or remote based on proximity to an office location.

 What you do

  • Resource for agents and brokers on topics such as product expertise, product fit, underwriting requirements, agent URL use and contracting.
  • Serve as the sales representative that effectively drives and closes sales for the
    direct-to- consumer channel.  These opportunities arise by calls coming into us, no cold calling.
  • Act as a knowledgeable representative of all Company dental & vision products to help consumer & brokers select the proper product that best suits their needs.
  • Assist in navigating on-line plan selection and taking applications over the phone.
  • General understanding of Private Label products, and their back-office structure, to respond appropriately or direct caller to the appropriate entity.
  • Key resource for newly onboarded General Agents, and their downline agents, on items including website navigation, product information, marketing tools, agent commission information, and the agent contracting process.
  • Execute cross-selling/engagement campaigns including promotions, webinars, newsletters, and digital strategy.
  • A strong understanding of Company strategies and processes, as well as product design and systems, are critical to success in this position.

 What you bring

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent amount of sales and/or insurance experience required.
  • 1 year of relevant experience is required. 
  • Superior interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Sales driven individual who is comfortable cross selling and up-selling.
  • The incumbent must hold a Life and Health Insurance License; or obtain one within 90 days (courses and fees covered by Ameritas)
  • Insurance industry related experience helpful.
  • Bi-lingual (Spanish), preferred.
