The Sr. Manager, Financial Systems (Adaptive Planning) will report to the VP Data & AI Strategy and collaborate closely with the Senior Director of Operations Finance and members of the FP&A team. This is a unique role where you will partner with key stakeholders across the organization through the lens of a financial and data strategy and be responsible for maintaining, implementing, and driving system and process improvements, delivering value-added business analysis, as well as defining and reporting meaningful financial and operational metrics that lead to insightful business decision-making. This role will also provide recommendations and implement strategies to enhance user experience, leveraging AI and machine learning capabilities in Adaptive. The ideal candidate will bring a deep understanding of FP&A processes, consolidations, and system optimization, while driving data-driven decision-making across the enterprise. Job Description:

This position allows for remote work and may require travel for business meetings. Our corporate office is based in White Plains, NY.  

 

Your responsibilities will include:    

  • Lead and optimize the integration of AI and Predictive modules in Adaptive Planning, ensuring that the system meets the evolving needs of FP&A teams for forecasting, budgeting, and reporting purposes. 

  • Serve as the owner of Finance systems, partnering cross-functionally with key stakeholders to ensure solutions are effectively integrated, optimized, and aligned with business requirements. 

  • Oversee system performance to ensure financial operations run efficiently and accurately, while continuously enhancing end-user experience and supporting scalable business growth. 

  • Identify areas for system optimization and process improvements related to financial forecasting, planning, and consolidation. Lead projects aimed at improving system usability and the efficiency of financial reporting. 

  • Provide training and ongoing support to end-users on Adaptive Planning best practices, reporting tools, and system functionalities, ensuring users are fully equipped to utilize the platform effectively. 

  • Develop, analyze, and distribute recurring financial metrics and ad-hoc reports and develop financial dashboards for senior management to drive business decision-making. 

  • Manage system and process-related projects, including new feature implementation, system upgrades, and issue resolution, working closely with stakeholders to ensure timely and successful project completion. 

  • Own and maintain bi-directional data integrations for Adaptive Planning, including inbound ingestion from upstream source systems and outbound data exports to the data lake and downstream platforms 

  • Provide business support to end-users, troubleshoot system issues through partnerships with IT, and work closely with internal teams to resolve operational concerns 

  • Monitor system performance, manage database backups, and ensure the availability and security of financial data 

  • Collaborate with IT teams to implement system improvements and ensure compatibility with other enterprise systems such as Power BI, Workday HCM, Workday FINs 

  • Communicate effectively and confidently with technologists, team members, and leadership, translating technical concepts into clear business value 

  • Ensure that financial systems comply with internal controls, accounting standards, and industry regulations 

  • Develop and maintain system documentation, user manuals, and training materials for end-users 

  • Stay current on industry best practices, technological advancements, and trends related to financial systems and software 

 

To excel in this role, you should possess:    

  • At least 5 years of experience in financial systems administration or a similar role, with hands-on experience managing financial software applications (e.g., Adaptive Planning/insight, Hyperion Suites, SAP, and Anaplan) 

  • 3+ years of hands-on experience with Adaptive Planning, including configuration, reporting, and forecasting. 

  • Experience designing, configuring, and supporting bi-directional integrations for Adaptive Planning and similar SaaS-based financial planning systems, including both data ingestion and outbound exports, using a combination of system configuration, scripting, and file-based methods, with responsibility for schema alignment, data validation, and issue resolution. 

  • Proven track record of working with cross-functional teams, including IT, HR, and other business units, to support system implementation and improvements. 

  • Knowledge of financial data modeling, forecasting methodologies, and financial systems best practices. 

  • Strong technical expertise in Adaptive Planning and financial system integration. 

  • Strong understanding of financial processes, accounting principles, and internal controls 

  • Proficient in database management, system integration, and data migration techniques 

  • Experience with business intelligence tools and reporting software 

  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills  

  • Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate across departments 

  • Knowledge of data security protocols, user access controls, and regulatory requirements 

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Information Technology, or a related field 

  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Compensation ranges from $140,000.00 - $165,000.00 based on experience.
