Job DetailsJob Location: Lincoln, CA 95648Position Type: Full TimeEducation Level: High SchoolJob Shift: AnyJob Category: SlotsPosition Summary: The Utility Technician is responsible for conducting slot machine moves and routine preventive slot machine maintenance.  The Utility Technician will maintain an up-to-date knowledge of manufacture updates to electronic devices and service equipment, and will apply that knowledge to the ongoing slot maintenance program set forth by management.  Responsibilities must be performed in accordance with all Company standards, policies, and procedures. Essential Functions: 1.    Practice, support, and promote Thunder Valley Casino Resort’s “ELITE” company-wide service mission and demonstrate AAA Four Diamond service standards at all times. 2.    Ensure proper safety procedures are being followed at all times. 3.    Be familiar with OSHA safety codes on various chemicals and electrical equipment used within the department. 4.    Slot machine moves:  preparation work, stringing power cords on machine banks with multiple machines, when bolting machines to slot stands.  5.    Perform routine slot maintenance as assigned by taking care of immediate action work orders as dictated by Slots Team Members and Guests. 6.    Be involved in all aspects of preventive maintenance on slot machines and related slot equipment. 7.    Test touch screens and button functions, and calibrate and replace as needed. 8.    Perform routine machine maintenance including, but not limited to, cleaning inside and outside of machine with vacuum and cleaning solvents and accessing CPU to clean CPU fans and boards. 9.    Maintain up-to-date technical knowledge on technologies and products applicable to the future needs of the department. 10.    Perform the function of Kiosk Technician as needed, monitoring and filling NRTs and jackpot stations with funds. QualificationsMinimum Qualifications: 1.    High school diploma or successful completion of a GED Certificate. 2.    Ability to read, analyze, and interpret documents, such as policy and procedure manuals, training material, and other related documents. 3.    Ability to respond to inquiries from Team Members and Guests.  4.    Ability to communicate effectively in one-on-one and small group situations.  5.    Ability to multi task while still maintaining a positive attitude. 6.    Ability to communicate effectively with Guests, Team Members and management in both written and verbal form. 7.    Basic math skills. 8.    At least 21 years of age. 9.    Ability to obtain UAIC Tribal Gaming License. Physical Requirements: 1.    Requires normal, corrective vision range, the ability to see color and the ability to distinguish letters, numbers and symbols. 2.    Ability to stand and walk for the duration of shift. 3.    Ability to work for prolonged periods while bending and/or kneeling. 4.    Ability to move up to 285 lbs. using a hand truck with or without assistance. 5.    Ability to hear radio transmissions and communicate clearly on radio.  Must be able to wear an earpiece with radio. 6.    Manual dexterity to operate job related equipment.
