Job Description

  

Summary

Perform setup and operation on assigned machines used in the production of the company’s product.  Work under the technical leadership of a Lead or other more skilled employee.  Receive periodic checks of work in process for compliance with job standards.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following.  Other duties may be assigned.

  • Perform semi-routine setups, but complex setups, fixtures and tooling are performed by others.
  • Work from process sheets or written/verbal instruction from supervisor to perform production tasks.
  • Follow established procedures on routine work, requiring instruction only on new assignments.
  • Operate computer console.
  • Use simple measurement instruments to check work.

Qualifications

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.  The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.  Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

Education and/or Experience:  High school diploma, general education degree (GED) or equivalent knowledge gained through formal education including vocational training.  Typically requires a minimum of 2 - 4 years of experience.  Ability to use mathematics, drawings and measuring tools.
