Operations Support Specialist
The Fort – Lincoln, NE
Full-Time / Part-Time
Primarily Monday–Friday | Occasional Weekends
Be the Person Who Helps Keep Everything Moving
The Fort is looking for a dependable, energetic, and versatile person to join our team as an Operations Support Specialist.
This is a unique position for someone who doesn't necessarily want to do the exact same thing every day.
You might spend one day helping our production team complete a large customer order, the next assisting our buyers with merchandise, receiving and organizing incoming product, moving inventory, or helping get the sales floor stocked and looking sharp.
Simply put: you'll go where you're needed and help get things done.
We're looking for someone who notices what needs to be done, isn't afraid to jump in, and takes pride in being the person others can count on.
What You'll Be Doing
- Assist our production team with projects and large customer orders
- Serve as a runner and support person for our buying team
- Help receive, unload, sort, and distribute incoming merchandise
- Move product between the warehouse, production areas, offices, and sales floor
- Unpack, tag, organize, and prepare merchandise
- Stock and merchandise products throughout the store
- Help with sales-floor recovery and organization
- Assist with displays, resets, and special projects
- Help prepare merchandise and supplies for other Fort locations when needed
- Pitch in wherever an extra set of hands is needed
Who We're Looking For
You don't need to know everything about The Fort on day one. We're more interested in finding someone with the right attitude and work ethic.
A great fit for this position is someone who:
- Is dependable and shows up ready to work
- Enjoys staying busy and working with their hands
- Can work independently without needing constant direction
- Sees something that needs done and takes initiative
- Is organized and pays attention to details
- Can switch between different tasks throughout the day
- Works well with different departments and personalities
- Takes care of company merchandise, equipment, and property
- Is comfortable being on their feet and physically active
- Can safely lift and move merchandise as needed
- Has a valid driver's license and dependable transportation
