Position Summary:
Distribution Warehousing, Inc is seeking dependable and safety-focused Turret Forklift Operators to join our warehouse operations team. This role is responsible for safely operating stand-up forklifts, handling shipping and receiving tasks, and supporting overall warehouse efficiency. Ideal candidates will be team-oriented, detail-driven, and committed to maintaining a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate stand-up forklifts and turret trucks safely and efficiently to load and unload trucks, containers, and pallets.
- Perform shipping and receiving procedures with high accuracy to support inventory management.
- Use RF scanners to complete required tasks per customer specifications.
- Follow all company policies, procedures, and protocols for product movement, documentation, and safety.
- Accurately complete required paperwork and system entries for inbound and outbound shipments.
- Collaborate with team members to meet daily operational goals and respond flexibly to shifting priorities.
- Demonstrate reliable and predictable attendance, with consistent transportation to and from work.
- Maintain attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy in all tasks.
- Wear required personal protective equipment (PPE), including steel-toe footwear.
- Ensure compliance with OSHA and company safety regulations and guidelines.
- Willingness to work every other weekend as part of the regular schedule.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Prior experience operating stand-up forklifts (certification is a plus)
- Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Reliable attendance and punctuality
- Basic knowledge of warehouse inventory systems and RF scanners is a plus
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods
