About D1 Training

D1 Training is an athletic-based group training facility for adults and youth athletes ages 7 and up. Our mission is simple:

You pick the goal. We help you get there.

We combine expert coaching, proven training systems, and a high-energy environment to help every athlete improve performance, build confidence, and reach their goals.

D1 Training Lincolnshire is a brand-new facility, and we're building our coaching team and culture from the ground up.

The coaches who join us early will have a unique opportunity to help establish our culture, shape the athlete experience, build relationships within the community, and grow alongside the business.

You won't just be joining an established team—you'll be one of the first coaches helping build what D1 Training Lincolnshire becomes.

Position Overview

As a D1 Strength & Conditioning Coach, you'll lead group workouts, provide individualized guidance, and create an environment where athletes feel challenged, supported, and motivated.

You'll work with athletes of all ages and abilities—from youth athletes developing foundational movement skills to adults pursuing strength and fitness goals to competitive athletes looking to improve performance.

This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about strength & conditioning, athlete development, and performance coaching and wants the opportunity to grow with a new facility.

Because you'll be joining during the early stages of our business, you'll have the opportunity to establish yourself with our founding members, build relationships with athletes and families from the beginning, and become a key member of our coaching team.

Evening and weekend availability is required based on class schedules, member needs, and facility events.

What You'll Do

  • Lead group training sessions for youth, adults, and teams

  • Provide personal training and individualized coaching when needed

  • Teach proper form, technique, and movement mechanics

  • Modify workouts to meet athletes at their current ability level

  • Help athletes improve strength, speed, agility, conditioning, and overall performance

  • Provide coaching cues, corrections, encouragement, and accountability throughout each session

  • Build strong relationships with athletes and families

  • Maintain a high-energy, positive, and professional training environment

  • Start and finish sessions on time while maintaining consistent coaching standards

  • Support member retention through exceptional coaching, accountability, and service

  • Identify opportunities to support athletes through personal training and individualized coaching

  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized training environment

  • Participate in coach meetings, continuing education, camps, combines, and community events

  • Follow D1 Training programming, safety standards, and coaching methodology

What We're Looking For

  • 1+ year of experience in strength & conditioning, personal training, sports performance, or group fitness

  • Strong understanding of exercise science, movement patterns, and safe exercise execution

  • Ability to coach athletes of different ages, abilities, and experience levels

  • High energy, positive attitude, and ability to motivate others

  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills

  • Professional, dependable, and punctual

  • Coachable and committed to continuous learning

  • CPR/AED/First Aid certification required

  • Bachelor's degree in Exercise Science, Kinesiology, or related field preferred

  • You are comfortable working with both youth and adults.

  • You are dependable, professional, and prepared.

  • You are coachable and always looking for ways to improve.

  • You understand that great coaching is about relationships as much as it is about workouts.

  • You are excited by the opportunity to build something from the ground up.

  • You want your role and earning potential to grow as the business grows.
