You’ll lead the systems, processes, and people that keep KLAS financially sound—providing leadership with the clarity and confidence needed to make informed decisions. This role blends technical accounting expertise, operational leadership, and strategic insight, making it essential to the continued growth and effectiveness of the organization.
What You’ll Do:
- Plan, direct, and coordinate all accounting functions, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and strong internal controls.
- Manage the accumulation and consolidation of financial data and prepare accurate internal and external financial statements.
- Oversee monthly, quarterly, and year-end close, including accruals, reconciliations, and reporting deliverables.
- Manage the budgeting process, develop forecasts, and monitor key performance metrics to support business decisions.
- Provide timely, accurate financial insights that inform strategic planning and operational direction.
- Oversee regulatory reporting, coordinate with external auditors, and support tax planning and compliance efforts.
- Evaluate current accounting operations, identify opportunities for improvement, and implement scalable, efficient solutions.
- Ensure accounting systems and supporting databases (e.g., QuickBooks, Concur, Salesforce) are effective and fully leveraged.
- Hire, develop, and retain strong accounting talent while fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
What You Bring:
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and full-cycle accounting practices
- Advanced experience with QuickBooks and strong proficiency in Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, data analysis)
- Experience leveraging financial systems such as Brex, Salesforce, or similar tools
- Proven ability to manage monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes
- Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills
- A proactive, problem-solving mindset with a focus on process improvement
- High integrity and ability to handle sensitive financial information with discretion
- A collaborative, approachable leadership style
Experience & Education
- 3+ years of accounting experience (outside of schooling), with increasing responsibility
- Demonstrated leadership and management experience
- Prior healthcare industry experience or familiarity is a plus
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required
