Responsibilities: 1. Does preventative maintenance on all equipment. 2. Inspects building and equipment to determine need and extent of service. 3 Installs machinery and equipment according to specifications. 4. Takes call on a scheduled basis. 5. Provides maintenance assistance as needed. 6. Prioritizes tasks under the supervision of Environmental Services Director. 7. Attends and completes training as assigned. 8 Performs other duties as assigned.QualificationsEducation and Experience: High school diploma or equivalent .  Certificate from vocational school or related on job training, experience and apprenticeship. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, benefits, repair and maintenance; knowledge and ability to do limited welding, make repairs and work on plumbing systems, electrical systems, alarm systems, household and commercial appliances; ability to read and understand specifications, plans and standards and safety requirements; knowledge of and ability to apply current federal and state regulations, policies and procedures; ability to organize, communicate, and perform the essential tasks and duties of the department; ability to consider alternatives and make decisions ; ability to handle confidential information; ability to work well with people including staff, residents, families and community; ability to follow requests.
