Purpose

This role plans, designs and implements maintenance programs to optimize the availability and productivity of production site facilities and equipment.

Key Missions

  • Follow and comply with all OSHA and company safety procedures  
  • Adhere to the IDEMIA Quality Policy 
  • Ensure all work is in compliance with ISO 9000:2000 standards 
  • Troubleshoot robotic systems, using knowledge of microprocessors, programmable controllers, electronics, mechanics, hydraulics, pneumatics 
  • Perform routine preventative maintenance of all manufacturing and facilities equipment  
  • Provide technical expertise to develop, maintain, test, trouble shoot and repair a wide range of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic equipment and devices  
  • Work with vendors on new equipment installation and utilize vendor resources for training  
  • Assist with departmental documentation such as training, preventative maintenance (PM), etc.  
  • Ownership and accountability for specific machines 
  • Develop and support departmental documentation such as training, preventative maintenance (PM), etc.  
  • Install, program or repair programmable controllers, robot controllers, end of arm tools and conveyors
  • Assist with the development of Automation projects
  • Modify computer-controlled robot movements
  • Assist with training for Maintenance Technicians and Machine Operators
  • Other roles and responsibilities may apply  

Profile & Other Information

  • Graduate engineer in Electronics, Automation, Mechatronics or similar
  • Demonstrated troubleshooting skills 
  • Experience working with robotics equipment
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • PLC programming 
  • Knowledge on computer systems and networks
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills 
  • Effective communication skills 
  • Self-starter that thrives in a fast-paced and energetic environment 
  • Solid attention to detail, the ability to work independently or as part of a team 
  • Capable of reading machine schematics and diagrams 
  • Knowledge of all applicable manufacturing equipment
