Position Overview

The Project Manager Lead Technician serves as the Quick Team Member – Delivery Stop Coordinator and is responsible for leading and coordinating delivery stop activities when product deviations or quality concerns are identified. This role ensures that affected products are promptly identified, risks are thoroughly assessed, corrective actions are developed and implemented, and cross-functional teams remain aligned to safely and efficiently resolve delivery stop events. The Senior Project Manager provides leadership throughout the investigation, containment, and recovery process to minimize operational and customer impact while ensuring compliance with quality standards and organizational procedures

 

The Project Manager Lead Technician plays a critical role in risk containment, problem resolution, resource planning, and communication across manufacturing, engineering, quality, supply chain, and supplier organizations.

Responsibilities

  • Lead investigations of product deviations and determine impact on affected risk populations.
  • Initiate delivery stops based on technical evaluations and risk assessments.
  • Coordinate corrective actions and ensure timely execution across all responsible functions.
  • Secure required resources, including personnel, equipment, tooling, replacement parts, and production capacity.
  • Facilitate communication among Production, Engineering, Supplier Quality, Purchasing, Product Follow-Up Managers, Quick Teams, and Local Delivery Stop Coordinators.
  • Ensure all stakeholders remain informed of action plans, responsibilities, and timelines.
  • Verify implementation of effective containment actions, short-term corrective actions, and permanent repair methods.
  • Coordinate lessons learned activities and obtain approval from designated review teams.
  • Assign follow-up quality activities and transition ownership to the appropriate Functional Quality Engineer while considering aftermarket risk populations.
  • Maintain complete documentation and traceability within FRAS, including meeting minutes, population lists, repair
  • instructions, campaign information, and supporting documentation.
  • Support cross-functional decision making to minimize operational and customer impact.

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree and at least 2 years of technical project/program management experience

OR

  • Master's degree and at least 1 year of technical project/program management experience

OR

  • At least 5 years of technical project/program management experience

Additional Requirements

  • Qualified candidates, excluding current employees, must be legally authorized on an unrestricted basis (US Citizen, Legal Permanent Resident, Refugee or Asylee) to be employed in the United States.
