Position Summary:Â

The basic function of the Helper is to perform a variety of duties within the Service Department, Warehouse and or on construction projects, transferring from one task to another as directed.Â

Job Functions:Â
 Â
- Handle movement of products throughout the shop or construction siteÂ
- Assist manager with daily work activitiesÂ
- Maintain, repair and adjust tool, machines and equipmentÂ
- Maintain and secure work tools and work areaÂ
- Other duties as assignedÂ
 Â
Knowledge, Skills & Experience (Essential):Â
 Â
- High school graduateÂ
- 1 year of experienceÂ
- Ability to lift 75Â lbsÂ
- Ability to perform physical outdoor laborÂ
- Ability to do general mathÂ
 Â
Knowledge, Skills & Experience (Desirable):Â
 Knowledge of roofing systems and how to apply coatings, sealant, metal, etc. desired but not a must.
 Familiar with OSHA standards.Â

- Compliance with workplace policies and procedures for risk identification, risk assessment and risk control Â
- Active participation in activities associated with the management of workplace health and safety Â
- Identification and reporting of health and safety risks, accidents, incidents, injuries and property damage at the workplace Â

Working Conditions:Â
 Â
Physical surroundings:  Field environment with exposure to heights, noise and temperature.  Ability to work outdoors in extreme weather conditions, both hot and cold and in windy conditions.Â
Physical Effort:  Walking, turning, stooping and reaching for and carrying materials, stepping over and around obstacles, climbing ladders and scaffolding. Must hear well enough to understand oral directions. Must see to read forms, labels, directions, prints, and specifications.  Ability to lift 75 lbs.Â
Travel:Â Yes (Minimal)
