This role will require you to work individually and as part of a team and you may be required to work overtime to fulfil company orders. Full in-house training on all our standards, processes and products will be provided and for the right person accredited training opportunities are also available.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED Required
- Ability to understand and interpret various electrical symbols and diagrams.Ability to interpret various types of mechanical drawings, such as assembly drawings, detail drawings, and schematics.
- Ability to understand basic electrical concepts. Understanding of fundamental concepts such as voltage, current, resistance and power.
- Demonstrated ability to use a range of hand tools, including crimping tools, wire cutters, screwdrivers, pliers, and other common tools effectively and safely.
- Understanding of basic tool maintenance. Understanding of how to perform routine maintenance tasks such as cleaning, lubricating, and inspecting tools. Ability to recognize signs of wear, damage, or malfunction in tools and know when professional repair or replacement is necessary.
- Ability to design and layout electrical panels according to specifications, including placement of breakers, terminals, and other components. Proficiency in labelling circuits, breakers, and other components clearly and accurately to ensure easy identification and maintenance.
- Ability to strip insulation from cables cleanly without damaging the conductors. Proficiency in cutting cables to the correct length using appropriate tools.
- A positive and proactive attitude is a key prerequisite. Demonstrates a can-do attitude and enthusiasm towards tasks and challenges. Shows optimism even in difficult situations.
- Experience working in or managing single-piece flow production lines, where products move through the process one at a time rather than in batches would be a distinct advantage.Â
Working Conditions and Physical Effort:
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. The employee is required to frequently walk, bend, climb, push, pull, twist, squat, stoop, and kneel each day. Specific requirements are:
- Must be able to stand for extended periods of time.
- Must be able to sit for extended periods of time.
- Must be able to lift or move up to 50 lbs.
- Must be able to carry up to 50 lbs.
- Must be able to pull or push up to 50 lbs.
Work conditions of the role are:
- Work conditions may involve moderate exposure to unusual elements such as dirt, dust, fumes, unpleasant odors, and/or loud noises.
- Work environment involves some exposure to hazards or physical risks which require following basic safety precautions.
- Must be able to wear and properly utilize appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) to work within or visit areas where required. This includes, safety glasses, reflective vest, ear plugs, safety toed shoes, and other PPE as required by the location.
