Overview of the Role:
The Senior Plant Accountant supports plant accounting execution, costing accuracy, inventory reconciliation, and audit-ready documentation. Reporting to the Regional Controller, this role ensures disciplined accounting processes that contribute to forecast reliability and EBITDA integrity at the plant level.
Essential Functions & Responsibilities:
Business Priority 1: Maintain Growth, Profitability, and Discipline in Support of the Regional Controller
- Support decision making for inventory management
- Support the decision making for manufacturing strategies and operational spending
- Owns the variance analysis for all manufacturing sites
- Support in identifying cost impacts to maintain operational profitability in Lititz, Tennessee, and Juneau
- KPIs: Deliver budgeted Gross Profit; ensure close time for management reporting SAP is achieved and loaded into One Stream by Day 5.
Business Priority 2: Achieve Superior Financial Service Delivery
- Support standard costing across all plants related to production, innovation, and Pro-track changes.
- Support and control assets, inventory, contracts, and expenses in all manufacturing plants
- Analyze plant transactions to ensure compliance with accounting procedures and guidelines.
- Owns the cycle count calendar and process for all sites, including Distribution centers.
- Support the development and efficient operation of plant processes and systems.
- KPIs: Complete standard costing on time and pass all audit requirements for assets, inventory, contracts, and supply expenses.
Business Priority 3: Ensure Forecast Accuracy and Reliability
- Support the timely input for cost of goods sold (COGS) and production forecasts, producing monthly outlooks and quarterly updates.
- Assist in preparing the plant budgets and conduct analysis, recommending cost reduction initiatives.
- Assisting in optimizing the budget processes and aligning with an 18-month Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) process.
- KPIs: Achieve high accuracy (100%) on Other COGS elements for the following quarter and improve transparency for the 15-month forecast.
Business Priority 4: Support Calculations for Aggressive Transformation Initiatives
- Support analysis on Pro-track and Tariff Projects, ensuring accurate and timely validation of savings and results.
- Support the preparation and alignment of next-year Pro-track initiatives by June.
- Owns and partners with operations to update BOMs and Routings
- KPIs: Deliver timely estimates of Pro-track and Tariff Project objectives.

Successful Candidate Profile:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance.
- 3–5 years of experience in plant accounting or manufacturing accounting.
- Strong foundation in journal entries, reconciliations, and inventory accounting.
- Basic understanding of standard costing principles.
- ERP system experience (SAP preferred).
- Strong attention to detail and accounting accuracy.
- Ability to execute disciplined close and reconciliation processes.
- Analytical mindset with willingness to learn manufacturing finance.
- Collaborative approach when supporting plant operations.
- Commitment to maintaining accurate and audit-ready documentation.
