Responsibilities:
Job Summary: The Rehab Supervisor’s main role is to support staff and ensure smooth departmental operations. They also have the responsibility of staff development including hiring and retention. The supervisor will assist with continual survey readiness of the department and will act as the director in the director’s absence.

Responsible for schedule adjustments in relation to daily volume including call outs, weekend planning and holiday coverage. Manages payroll of staff being supervised and performs patient care as needed to manage staffing.Â
Assists with effective recruitment and retention strategies including interviews, orientation, training, and serving as a mentor assisting in clinical development and other learning experiences for professional and support staff
Oversight and management of daily/weekly huddles, staff meetings and trainings, and acts as a resource for staff by maintaining availability for staff questions.
Holds staff accountable and takes appropriate actions utilizing the PEP process. Conducts timely evaluations of all staff members.Â
Identifies and initiates policy improvement and upholds regulatory requirements, including managing ongoing survey readiness for the department.
Performs appropriate chart audits and assists with denial management.
Assist the director in ongoing budget management including: monitoring budget expenditures, supplies, to ensure compliance within budget limitations. Responsible for charge reconciliation of staff areas being supervised.
Monitors student affiliation programs with accredited institutions. Â Coordinates and delegates the supervision of volunteers and observers.
Assist director with customer dissatisfaction promptly and effectively using the service recovery approach.
Acts as director in the director's absence, is flexible, and demonstrates the ability to float between treatment settings and performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
Minimum of three years total related work experience.
Previous supervisory experience is preferred.
 Licenses and Certifications:
  Basic Life Support
  Speech Language Pathologist, Occupational Therapist, or Physical Therapist license in South Carolina
