Responsibilities:
Job Summary: The Pathology Clinical Coordinator will organize and verify the work of others and participate in the teaching and training of new employees and students. Serves as the primary technical resource to provide consultation to healthcare staff.

Assist with regulatory checklist and other regulatory agency requirements.
Review quality control, proficiency results, patient results, and method comparisons; identify and correct
performance problems in these areas.
Accountable for the oversight of instrument maintenance and calibrations; performs advance troubleshooting
when needed.
Evaluate and make recommendations for process improvements to Lab Administration.
Oversee the inventory of supplies and reagents.
Analyze processes of highly complex testing to validate results and quality assurance.
Assist with the competency program to ensure that lab policies and accrediting agency
requirements are followed.
Develop and oversee verification/validation studies for instrumentation, methods, and tests.
Other duties as assigned.

 

Qualifications:
Minimum of twelve months training in an accredited school of Medical Laboratory Science or Medical Laboratory Technology or equivalent work experience.
Minimum of two years of experience in clinical laboratory.
Certification as a cytotechnologist or histotechnologist
