Mortgage Servicing & Loss Mitigation Specialist

Bank of England Mortgage is seeking a Mortgage Servicing & Loss Mitigation Specialist to join our team. This position works directly with borrowers to resolve delinquent mortgage accounts, evaluate available assistance options, and provide knowledgeable, responsive service throughout the process.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to build a career in mortgage servicing, as well as an experienced professional ready to expand their expertise in default servicing and loss mitigation. Related experience is preferred, but extensive mortgage experience is not required.

What You’ll Do

  • Communicate with borrowers regarding delinquent mortgage accounts and help identify appropriate paths toward resolution.
  • Assist borrowers with available loss mitigation options in accordance with investor, agency, regulatory, and company guidelines.
  • Collect and review financial information and loss mitigation documentation for completeness and accuracy.
  • Provide support related to mortgage payments, balances, escrow, insurance, taxes, and other servicing questions.
  • Review account activity and servicing reports, identify required follow-up, and maintain accurate documentation.
  • Manage multiple accounts and deadlines while providing professional, customer-focused service.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to resolve issues and support positive customer outcomes.

What We’re Looking For

  • High school diploma or GED required; college coursework or degree is a plus.
  • Related experience in customer service, banking, financial services, mortgage, collections, loan servicing, insurance, escrow, or account management preferred.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent organization, attention to detail, and follow-through.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong judgment and professionalism when handling sensitive customer situations.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and the ability to learn mortgage servicing systems.
  • Mortgage servicing, default, escrow, or loss mitigation experience is a plus.
  • Knowledge of mortgage investor, agency, or regulatory requirements is a plus.
