About the Role
Parkstone Place is seeking a friendly, professional, and highly organized Receptionist to serve as the first point of contact for residents, families, visitors, and staff. This role is essential to creating a welcoming environment and ensuring smooth communication throughout the facility. The ideal candidate is warm, dependable, and able to multitask while maintaining a polished and positive demeanor.
Key Responsibilities
Greet all visitors, residents, and employees in a warm, courteous, and helpful manner.
Answer internal and external phone calls professionally and follow proper telephone etiquette.
Take accurate messages and ensure they are delivered promptly to the appropriate person.
Maintain a clean, neat, and inviting reception area at all times.
Offer refreshments and assist visitors to ensure a comfortable experience.
Maintain knowledge of facility services, staff, and general operations to assist callers and guests effectively.
Handle daily mail distribution and prepare bank deposits.
Provide general administrative support as requested by the Executive Director.
Represent Parkstone Place with professionalism, confidentiality, and a positive attitude.
Qualifications
High school diploma or GED preferred.
One year of receptionist or front‑desk experience preferred.
Must be in good standing with required healthcare registries, including the Employment Clearance Registry and Adult Maltreatment Registry.
Strong communication and customer service skills.
Professional appearance and demeanor.
Physical Requirements
Primarily sedentary role with intermittent walking or standing.
Ability to lift or move up to 35Â lbs occasionally.
Ability to perform repetitive tasks such as typing, phone use, and filing.
