What You Should Know About the Accounts Reconciliation Analyst II:

  • Monday- Friday: Typical hours 8:00 a.m.- 4:30 p.m. No weekends or call.
  • This position is based within Jefferson Regional Patient Accounting Department 

Job Summary:

The Accounts Reconciliation Analyst II is responsible for correcting pre-claim edits, reviewing correspondence related to aged accounts for resolution, follow-up on billed claims with insurance companies, utilizing online resources, telephone and correspondence. 

Accounts Reconciliation Analyst II Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or equivalent required. 
  • Bachelor’s Degree in accounting, finance, or other related field preferred.
  • Minimum Requirements:
    • Minimum of 2-year medical office or hospital clerical experience
    • Must have proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suites
    • Must be able to trend and resolve denied or delayed claims
    • Must be able to calculate expected reimbursement based on hospital contracts with payers and must be able to pursue underpayments
    • Must be able to communicate with insurance companies and patients when needed
  • Preferred Requirements:
    • Experience with medical claims follow up and account resolution
    • Knowledge of insurance allocation rules
