Summary of Job Duties:

The Administrative Coordinator will provide administrative support for the Department of Pediatrics Primary Care and Clinical Informatics sections. The Primary Care sections are: General Pediatrics, Community Pediatrics, and Adolescent Medicine. The position will report to the Primary Care Office Manager and provide assistance in planning, event coordination, purchasing, scheduling, and more.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree plus two (2) years of general administrative office support experience, or

  • Associate's degree plus four (4) years of general administrative office support experience required.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Detail-oriented and organized; excellent interpersonal skills.

  • Strong problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to work independently and interdependently.

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.

  • Ability to work under deadline pressure.

  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities:

  • Coordinates office activities with the office manager and other professional staff within and outside the assigned unit.

  • Submits clinic modifications to ACH to communicate changes to physician schedules.

  • Gathers information for credentialing for the Primary Care and Clinical Informatics Faculty

  • Assist in updating the Primary Care and Clinical Informatics profiles on the UAMS website

  • Assist with provider travel preparation and general purchasing for assigned sections.

  • Management of IT inventory in the Primary Care and Clinical Informatics Sections

  • Assists in filing, upkeep of office equipment, mail and faxes, copier meter readings, updating eFund reports, IT, and maintenance requests

  • Request privileges for department security access for software and shared drives/folders for faculty.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.
